Darlene Ruby Thomas, age 73, of Coffeyville, KS (formerly of Broken Arrow, OK) passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at her home in Coffeyville, KS. She was born on December 11, 1936 in Ames, IA to Ted and Ruby Miller. Darlene was raised in Iowa and graduated from Ames High School in Ames, IA. In 1936, she was baptized. Darlene and Billie Sunny Thomas were married on December 24, 1954 in Nevada, IA. In 1962, they moved from Iowa to Oklahoma. Darlene was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed farm animals. Darlene is survived by her son, Leslie Mack Thomas and his wife, Patricia, of Big Cabin, OK; her sister, Carolyn Ryan and her husband, Augie, of IA; two grandchildren, Brandon Thomas and Sarah Thomas; and three great grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Billy Eugene Thomas. Funeral services for Darlene will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Clifford Hewitt officiating.
