Services celebrating the life of Darlene Eursery will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. John Miller officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Viewing will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Darlene Marie Eursery, age 80, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 27, 2018 at her home in Broken Arrow, OK surrounded by her family. She was born on May 14, 1938 in Stillwater, OK to William Henry Bowers, Sr. and Bertie Manila (McElfresh) Bowers. Darlene married the love of her life, Virgil Andrew "Andy" Eursery on April 6, 1986 in Coweta, OK. They were married for 28 years before Andy passed away on February 1, 2014. Darlene began her career as a hairdresser and then worked in retail for many years. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She was a Vista Volunteer. She worked for American Red Cross for several years. Darlene enjoyed sewing, painting and gardening. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Eursery, her parents, William Henry and Bertie Manila Bowers and 6 siblings, William Henry, Jr., Hubert Ray, Jenny Viola, Raymond Thomas, Abbie Dale and Velta Ruth. Darlene is survived by 1 son, Rick Wayne Stout of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 daughter, Sherry Deetz and husband Curt of Broken Arrow, OK; 8 grandchildren, Jason Rohr, Rick Stout, Jr., Brady Deetz, Marc Bailey and wife Rebecca, Nicole Bryant and husband Austin, Natalie Slater and husband Chase, Justin Eursery and wife Kelsey and Krysta Eursery; 13 great grandchildren, Cierra Rohr, Jacob Rohr, Aria Stout, Luke Bailey, Hayden Bailey, Asher Bailey, Aidan Slater, Livia Slater, Jayden Eursery, Isabelle Eursery, Abigail Eursery, Ethan Eursery and Brinleigh Eursery; 2 sisters, Alta Kiriokos of Enid, OK and Minnie Minehart of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Joseph Bowers and wife Lois of Owasso, OK; 1 step-daughter, Deborah Hamilton; 1 sister-in-law, Kathy Meyer and husband Robert; special nephew, William Carl Hill; special niece, Teresa Palmer; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and all her Kansas City, Kansas family.
