Danny Duane Hamilton

Danny Duane Hamilton, Coweta resident, was born on December 17, 1940, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.

Danny was the son of Hazel Marie (Reed) and Boyd Forbis Hamilton. He spent his younger years in Sapulpa, where he attended high school. He became a self-employed home builder. This enabled him to share his dedication to practical craftsmanship and commitment to quality. He also served the community valiantly as a deputy sheriff at Wagoner County for many years. Danny married the love of his life Carole Jean (Ingold) Hamilton in 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Away from work, Danny had a great love for fishing and going to Beaver Lake, Arkansas. Not to mention, he was an exceptional dancer who could steal the show effortlessly.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Carole Jean Hamilton of the home. Besides Carole Jean, his children: Danny Hamilton of Coweta, Oklahoma, Deborah Hamilton of Afton, Oklahoma, Daryl Hamilton of Arkansas, Peggy Hurt and husband John of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Cindy Cantrell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Jasper Cantrell and wife Marsha of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his brother, Larry Hamilton and his wife Connie; and his cousins, Norma Jean Wilson, Orville Knight, and Billie Knight. His legacy continues to thrive through his 20 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Hazel Hamilton, his daughter, Danetta Yandell, and his cousin, Shirley Ruth. He will live on through the love, lessons, and fond memories he imparted to his treasured family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Danny's life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta with Pastor Bradley Crum Officiating. Danny will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
