Dale Dobbins

Dale Dobbins, age 61, long-time resident of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully, Thursday afternoon, April 25, 2013 at his home in Coweta, OK. Dale was born on November 20, 1951 in Muskogee, OK and was the son of F.W. and Geraldine (McGlothin) Dobbins. Dale was a graduate of Coweta High School. Dale served in the Army Reserves. Dale worked at Ford Glass for 28 years until he retired in 2004. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coweta and the United Auto Workers Association. He enjoyed going to the casino, fishing and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Dale is lovingly survived by his mother, Geraldine Dobbins of Coweta, OK; his four children, Jason Dobbins and wife, Valarie, of Broken Arrow, OK, Amanda Goodnight and husband, Steven, of Wagoner, OK, Travis Dobbins and wife, Jullie, of Muskogee, OK and Erin Simon and husband, Matt, of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Franklin Dobbins and wife, Nema, of Coweta, OK; two sisters, Connie McDaniel and husband, Robert, of Coweta, OK and Sandra Dobbins of Coweta, OK; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, F.W. Dobbins. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, April 29, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 15296 State Hwy. 72, Coweta, OK 74429. Rev. David Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Robbie Morton, Eddie Reynolds, Frankie Baucom, Jay Potter, Ronnie Martin and Franklin Eugene Dobbins.
