Curtis Edward Masker, age 36, of Wagoner, OK, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on November 3, 1988, in Ft. Gibson, OK. Curtis's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of the human spirit.

Curtis's resilience shone brightly when he was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of eight, he faced the challenges head-on, never allowing the condition to hinder his zest for life. His determination was evident in every endeavor, from his academic achievements to his musical talents. Curtis's love for music blossomed in junior high when he embraced the tuba, an instrument he played with passion and skill throughout his high school years, earning first chair and maintaining a near-perfect GPA.

Curtis's work ethic was evident from a young age. By 18, he was managing a local convenience store while pursuing his Bachelor's degree at NSU. His dedication to his studies and his job was unparalleled, and he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Curtis's passion for helping others led him to work at Tulsa County Behavioral Health while completing his Master's degree. In 2017, he joined the Veterans Administration, where he worked tirelessly to ensure that veterans received the benefits they deserved, rising from GS 5 to GS 12 in 5 years as a Rating Veterans Service Representative.

Family was the cornerstone of Curtis's life. He was a constant presence at birthdays, school performances, and family gatherings. His love for his nieces and nephews knew no bounds, and he was affectionately known as the world's greatest uncle. Curtis's presence was a gift, and his absence will be deeply felt at every sunset missed on the lake and every family celebration.

Curtis is survived by his mother, Patricia L. Masker and his father, Dante Sanders Sr. of Taylor Ferry, OK; his siblings, Josh Denison and his wife Cassie of Wagoner, OK, Kathryn Ridenour of Wagoner, OK, and April Chartier and her fiancé Patrick Ramirez of Taylor Ferry, OK; his nieces and nephews, Tayler Scott of Taylor Ferry, OK, Teryn Scott of Taylor Ferry, OK, Bryson Denison of Wagoner, OK, Nova Denison of Wagoner, OK, Thomas Denison of Wagoner, OK, Tallia Scott of Wagoner, OK, and Kori Ridenour of Wagoner, OK; his partner, Charley C. Gossman of Taylor Ferry, OK; and extended family, chosen family, and a multitude of friends.

Curtis's journey was one of purpose and impact. His goals were always met with success, and his life was a series of accomplishments that inspired all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the unwavering belief that anything is possible with hard work and a positive outlook.

Visitation for Curtis Edward Masker will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK. A service celebrating his life will follow at 1:00 PM. Curtis will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
