Crosby Nieto Casillas

January 1, 1925 — August 14, 2015

Crosby Nieto Casillas, age 89, resident of Coweta passed away on Friday morning, August 14, 2015 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, OK. He was born on October 25, 1925 to Pedro and Pabla (Nieto) Casillas in Sand Springs, OK. Crosby was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II. He enlisted in the Navy on April 20, 1944 and was honorably discharged on February 24, 1946. Crosby worked at Progressive Brass Manufacturing Co. in Tulsa, OK as a foreman until he retired. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1327 in Glenpool, OK and member of the VFW Honor Guard Post 5 in Glenpool, OK. Crosby was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Casillas in 1992, his parents, Pedro and Pabla Casillas, 1 daughter, Carolyn Sue Casillas, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. Crosby is survived by 2 sons, Larry Casillas and wife, Pati, of Broken Arrow, OK and Gene Casillas and wife, Diana, of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 brother, Johnny Casillas and wife, Judy, of Catoosa, OK; 2 sisters, Sally Bargas of Tulsa, OK and Anita Carpio of Tulsa, OK; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing for Crosby will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home with the family being present from 6 PM - 8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Crosby's life will be at 10 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Pastor Victor Orta officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Pallbearers are Paul Casillas, Mark Casillas, Shawn Casillas and Matthew Casillas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Crosby Casillas the Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, OK 74133.
