Corene H. Price of Coweta passed away on Wednesday morning, February 21, 2007 at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa. She was 92 years, 11 months, and 19 days old. Corene was born on March 2, 1914 in Doniphan, Missouri to John and Corah (Quisenberry) Holt. She received her education in the Checotah school system and graduated from Checotah High School. She and Scott Lee Price were united in marriage in October 1932 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They came to Coweta in 1952 from Muskogee. Corene was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Her hobbies included sewing and baking and she enjoyed being with her family. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Janice Price of Owasso, Jerry and Ruth Price of Broken Arrow, and Richard W. And M. June Price of Norman; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and four sisters. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend David Jones officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
