Cody Shanks

Cody Lane Shanks, age 13, of Coweta passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home in Coweta, OK. Cody was born on November 10, 1999 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of Tammy McMillen and Eddie Shanks. Cody was an 8th grade student at Coweta Junior High School. Cody enjoyed fishing and playing video games. Cody will be missed as a loving son, brother, grandson and friend. Cody is survived by his mother, Tammy McMillen of Coweta; his father, Eddie Shanks of Tulsa; his sister, Katie Halliwell of Coweta; his grandparents, Teresa Anthony of Coweta, Curtis Beck of Coweta and Teresa McMillen of Coweta; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Cody are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are George McMillen, Justin McMillen, Fred McMillen, Curtis Beck, Jeremy Shanks and Jackson Shanks.
