Cody Hawkins

Cody Michael Hawkins, age 15, of Gloster, Mississippi passed away after a tragic accident on Saturday, November 21, 2009 near Centreville, Mississippi. He was born on March 24, 1994 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Chris Blackburn and Tracie Hawkins. Cody was a loving son, brother, and grandson to his family. He was a 10th grade student at Centreville Academy in Centreville, Mississippi. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Gloster, Mississippi. Cody's hobbies included listening to music, playing video games, fishing and hunting. Cody is lovingly survived by his mother, Tracie Hawkins of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his father, Chris Blackburn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Colton Hawkins of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his maternal grandfather, Robert Thompson of Gloster, Mississippi; his paternal grandparents, Mike and Carol Blackburn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his maternal great-grandparents, Harold and Linda Day of Coweta, Oklahoma; his maternal great-great-grandmother, Ollie Casey of Coweta, Oklahoma; other relatives and friends. Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Terri Thompson and his uncle, Allen Thompson. Funeral services for Cody will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Farrow officiating.
