Clarence Wayne Tillman, age 75, resident of Coweta was born on November 23, 1940 to James and Nancy Mae Bell (Whisenant) Tillman in Tahlequah, OK. Clarence passed away on Monday afternoon, August 15, 2016 at his home in Coweta, OK. He was a graduate of Wellsville High School in Wellsville, KS where he was involved in playing sports. He married Bernice Ann Peck on December 31, 1962 in Coweta, OK. Clarence worked at Braden Winch as a Hydraulic Engineer for 38 years until he retired in 2000. At Braden Winch he started the union and became Chief Steward. He enjoyed coaching his children in sports when they were younger and working on cars and lawn mowers. He was an avid OU and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and an infant granddaughter, McKenzie Elyse Madden. Clarence is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bernice Tillman of the home in Coweta, OK; 5 children, Teresa Kaye Segress and husband, Terry of Ft. Smith, AR, Rodney Alan Tillman of Tulsa, OK, Sheilah Ann Swanson and husband, Kerry of Springdale, AR, Michael Keith Tillman and wife, Lisa of Coweta, OK and Dr. Curtis Wayne Tillman and wife, Adrienne of Coweta, OK; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating Clarence's life will be at 1 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating. A private interment will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Easley, Steve Easley, Greg Tillman, Kevin Tillman, Chris Tillman and Kyle Tillman.
