Clara Elsie Aston

Clara Elsie Aston, age 89, of Haskell, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Haskell Care Center. Clara was born on April 11, 1918 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma to James Franklin and Emily Alice (Harris) Casebolt. She received her education at the Sunnyside School. Clara and Edgar Allen Aston were united in marriage on October 11, 1935 in Oneta, Oklahoma. Clara worked as a painter processor for McDonnell Douglas for 26 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, Oklahoma. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and painting. Survivors include two sons, David Aston of Coweta, Oklahoma and Mike Aston and his wife, Joyce, of Coweta, Oklahoma; two daughters, Janice Austin of Haskell, Oklahoma and Judy Binter of Haskell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and one sister. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Herb Smith officiating. Interment will follow.
