Cheryl Lynn Weaver

July 28, 1958 — May 8, 2014

Cheryl Lynn Weaver was born on July 28, 1958, in Detroit Michigan to Columbus and Mable Weaver. Cheryl was the youngest of four children born to this union. At an early age, Cheryl gave her life to Christ and was a member of Leeland Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. She also attended public school in the Detroit Public School District.
After High School, Cheryl met and married Tee Baker (who has preceded her in death)
and to this union were born two sons, Kayron and Tee-Jay. Cheryl later met and united with Rickey Colbert and to this union four children were born. Corey, Kanisha, Kamia and Kiara.
Cheryl loved life and her life was her children. She enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed family get together' and she loved spending time with her only niece Neqwana Lewis.
Cheryl had a passion for helping teenagers that needed her help. Her home was open to many of her children's friends. She counseled them, she provided a safe haven for many of them and she treated them as if they were her own.
Cheryl was a Michael Jackson's fan. She enjoyed his music from her childhood. She was impressed by his rise in fame and success that began in his childhood years and carried him to his grave.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father and mother, Columbus and Mable Weaver, and one sister, Evangelist Dr. Gail Elaine Weaver.
She leaves to cherish hers memories the love of her life her 6 children Kayron, Tee-Jay, Corey, Kanisha, Kamia and Kiara. 9 grandchildren, Kayron, Kayden, Kade, Khia'Lynn, Kylie, Tee-Jay, T'Hiago, Aaiyah, and Promise, One brother, Ronald Weaver (Lavelle)
Bellville, Michigan, One sister, Deborah Lewis, CMA/CMC, her one and only niece Neqwana Lewis and a host of other relatives and friends. Cheryl is gone, but her legacy lives on in the life of her children, family and her many friends.
As in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King and in the hearts of us all though she will be missed, we can say she is "Free at Last, Free at Last, Thank God Almighty Cheryl is Free at Last!!!
