The Heavenly Choir welcomed a new member on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 when Charlotte Mae Hall 86, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a long time resident of Meeker, Oklahoma.
Charlotte was born on August 4, 1932, the second of six children to Floyd & Ethel (Smith) Cook in Shawnee.
Charlotte worked as a secretary and retired from the state of Oklahoma in 1994. She was a graduate of Dale High School. Charlotte married Eddie Hall of Meeker on November 14, 1952, they were married for 66 years until her passing.
Since early childhood, Charlotte was blessed with musical talent, playing the piano and organ and sharing her sweet voice at church. Her service to God began as a member of the Hazel Dell Baptist church and then Mammoth Baptist Church, where she was the church organist for many years.
Charlotte's family was the joy of her life, and she was their steadfast anchor in times of celebration and sorrow. She was know as "gee" to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, or others who joined her circle of care. There was always an extra place at her table for anyone needing a meal or a word of advice. (no charge for either!)
She and Eddie shared their interest in horses and rodeos. She was the Meeker Rodeo Queen from 1953-1957. They regularly attended the Rodeo Finals and timed events at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie. In their horse-drawn buggy, Eddie and Charlotte were a familiar sight at Meeker parades.
Charlotte was proceeded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ethel Cook, one sister Phyllis Cook; and several other family members.
She is survived by her husband, R.E. (Eddie) Hall of the home; son Gary Hall and wife Juanita, Meeker; daughters Brenda Hutchison, Meeker; and Regina Holland and husband Bryan of Eufaula. Brothers, Wayman Cook and wife Linda, Shawnee, Warren Cook and wife Barbara, Claremore; sisters Carolyn Stuart of San Benito, TX, and Leda Glenn and husband Dennis of Shawnee; Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday July 19, 2019 at Parks Brothers Funeral Services-Meeker Chapel 114 South Fowler Street Meeker, OK, Funeral services will be Saturday July 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Mammoth Baptist Church 339943 US 62 Meeker, Oklahoma.
