Charley Pearson

Charley "CD" Pearson, age 81, long-time resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday afternoon, February 9, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. CD was born on November 17, 1931 in Wagoner County, OK and was the son of John Otis Pearson, Sr. and Mary Jane (Erwin) Pearson. CD married Violet Marie Replogle on Halloween eve, October 31, 1950 at the Church of God of Prophecy Parsonage in Coweta, OK. CD owned and operated C & D Machine Shop for 10 years. CD was a member of the UAW Local Union 952 and he was a faithful member of the Coweta Assembly of God. CD will be missed as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. CD is lovingly survived by his wife of 62 years, Violet Marie Pearson of the home; his 4 children, Carol Jane Young and husband, Ronnie, of Coweta, OK, Darrel Gene Pearson and wife, Sherryl, of Owasso, OK, Brenda Kay Hughes and husband, Brent, of The Woodlands, TX and Danny Eugene Pearson and wife, Lori, of Coweta, OK; 3 sisters, Macel Ruth Bible of Tulsa, OK, Josephine Hunt of Mazie, OK and Twilla Pitcock of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 brothers, Kenneth Pearson of Tulsa, OK and John Otis Pearson, Jr. of Collinsville, OK; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 brother-in-laws, Truman Replogle and Russell Replogle; 2 sister-in-laws, Faye Replogle Ward Runnels and Velma Replogle Hash; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. CD was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and a great grandson. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, February 11, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services for CD are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Gary Rogers and Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Mike Hoel, Shorty Chance, Phil Brown, Dan Simon, Kevin Hutchins and Will Kilgore.
