Charles Ray Turner

Charles Ray Turner, age 76, resident of Porter, departed this life on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Charlie was born on March 17, 1945 and was the son of Elmer Edward and Bessie Lorene (Bennett) Turner.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.  Charlie retired in 2006 after many years of over the road truck driving.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his trucks.

Charlie is survived by his two sons, Charles “Eddie” Turner and his wife Susan of Porter, Oklahoma, and Todd Allen Turner and his friend Renee of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his brother, Wiley Turner of Haskell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Edward and Bessie Lorene Turner, seven siblings, and his best friend, Christine North.

A celebration of Charlie’s life of Charlie’s life will be held at a later date.
