Charles Elmer Swanson

Charles Elmer Swanson, age 89, resident of Coweta passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 22, 2015 at his home in Coweta, OK. Charles was born on September 24, 1925 in Genoa, NE and is the son of the late Charles and the late Svea (Anderson) Swanson. He married Eileen Elizabeth Cedar on April 18, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA. Charles retired from Ford Motor Company as a General Foreman in 1980 after 33 years. He enjoyed raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eileen Swanson of the home in Coweta, OK; 1 son, Kevin Swanson and wife, Linda, of Coweta, OK; 1 sister, Ruth Ann Wilcynski of Genoa, NE; 3 grandchildren, Terrell, Tiffany and Skylar; 3 great grandchildren, L.T., Noah and Bentley; and numerous other relatives. Viewing will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 before the service from 10 AM - 11 AM. Services celebrating the life of Charles will be at 11 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating.
