Charles David Dunn

April 9, 1939 — August 19, 2024

Coweta

Charles David Dunn, Coweta resident, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Coweta, Oklahoma at the age of 85. He was born to the late Charles E. Dunn and Doris (Price) Dunn on April 9, 1939, in St. Elmo, Illinois. David grew up to be a man of integrity and warmth.

In 1959, David married the love of his life, Rose "Rosie" Marie (Conner) Dunn in Coweta, Oklahoma, embarking on a marital journey that would span 53 years until her passing in 2013. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring family bonds. David was predeceased not only by his beloved wife but also by his son, Joe Dunn, father, Charles E. Dunn, mother, Doris Dunn, and sister, Doris Ann Ivie.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication exemplified by his daughter, Joyce Arnold and husband Richard, two grandsons, Rocky Arnold (Elena Martinez), and Jesse Arnold (Sarah Mudd). His memory will be cherished through the playful eyes of his great grandchildren, Owen (Shelby), Brady, Layla, Thomas, and Garon, as well as the newest joys in his life, his two great-great-grandchildren. His niece, Lonna Rozell, also survives him, along with the residents and staff of Coweta Care and Rehab Center, who hold dear the fond memories of their shared lives.

After graduating from Coweta High School, David contributed his talents as a Punch Press Operator for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company, from which he retired, leaving behind a trail of professional rigor and respect. Beyond his professional endeavors, David found pleasure in the simpler things—casting a line catch the big one, cheering from the stands at a sporting event, discovering new horizons on bus tours with Rosie, or imparting life's lessons to his grandsons.

David’s life was a testament to enduring love and the joy of everyday pleasures. His warm spirit and legacy continue to shine through his family and all the lives he touched.

There are no services planned for David. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Rosie Dunn at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
