Cecelia Kay Freeland of Coweta, age 58, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and aunt passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at her home in Coweta, OK. Cecelia was born on May 19, 1954 in Okmulgee, OK and was the daughter of Yahola and Beulah (King) Simms. Cecelia was a graduate of Okmulgee High School. Cecelia and Brett Freeland were united in marriage on December 14, 1974 in Okmulgee, OK. Cecelia worked in customer service at Banta Publication until she retired in 2008. Cecelia attended St. Benedict Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, OK. She enjoyed painting and artwork. Cecelia is survived by her husband, Brett of the home; her son, Patrick Freeland of Lafayette, IN; her three sisters, Winona Simms of Purcell, OK, Peggy Rains of Lexington, OK and Yolanda Otero of Okemah, OK; her brother, Yahola Simms of Escondido, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Clark. A wake service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Tallahassee Indian Methodist Church in Okmulgee, OK. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Tallahassee Indian Methodist Church in Okmulgee, OK. Burial will follow in Tallahassee Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK. Pallbearers are Jack Rains, Joe McIntosh, Dale Chambers, Marc Schroeder, Sterling Schroeder and Marty Schroeder.
