Carol J. Young

Carol Jane Young, age 69, resident of Coweta departed this life on Friday afternoon, February 5, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Carol was born on July 25, 1951 and was the daughter of C.D. and Violet Marie (Replogle) Pearson.  She was a 1970 graduate of Coweta High School. On April 3, 1970, Carol married the love of her life, Ronnie M. Young at the Oak Grove Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Ronnie and Carol’s love story and life adventures spanned over 50 years.  Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a bus driver extraordinaire.  She enjoyed shopping and babysitting.  Carol had a great passion for children and helping others.  She will be greatly missed by all her knew and loved her.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ronnie M. Young of Coweta, Oklahoma; three daughters, Tammy Kay Kane, Tonya Irene Shafer, and Terra Sue Butler; her sister, Brenda Kay Hughes; two brothers, Danny Eugene Pearson and Darrel Gene Pearson; grandchildren, Bo (Jade) Young, Jake (Christy) Kane, Dylan Shafer, Dereck (Sunnie) Shafer, Dakota (Katie) Shafer, J.D. Butler, Dusti Butler, and her only granddaughter, Callie Butler; great grandchildren, Weston and Colt Young; adopted daughters, Tammy Lynn (Mike) Ross and their son, Eli Ross, and Kaydee Clark and family, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Violet Pearson.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 and 12:00 – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Carol’s life will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Life.Church, 2420 E. Kenosha St. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 74014.
