Carlton Weaver

Carlton Howard Weaver, Jr., age 88, was born on April 20, 1922 in Hutchinson, KS and on August 29, 2010 in Tulsa, OK he went to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Howard "Buck" Weaver, Sr. and Mignonet Weaver, his brother, Charles William Weaver, one step-son, Kenneth Ray "Buddy" Colquitt, Jr. and one step-daughter, Rebecca Elayne Colquitt. He was a dedicated husband to his wife, Beverly Jane Weaver of 26 years. Carlton graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX in 1940 and attended Texas A&M College before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1941. He attended Aircraft School in Kansas City, MO and was sent with the 8th Air Force to Europe during World War II. His flight career included B-26, B-17, and B-24's. He served in Northern Ireland and England with the Bomber's Group and the 10th Airdrome Squadron. He was decorated with the Air metal, American Defense, Presidential Unit Citation, World War II Victory Metal and the American Theatre and European Theatre Metal. He returned to the United States where he was discharged from Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX in 1946. Carlton was in the movie theater industry 40 years before he started a vacuum cleaner business in Muskogee and Broken Arrow, OK. Carlton was a Master Mason, a 32nd degree Mason and Nobel of the Bedlam Shrine in Muskogee, OK. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the McAlester's Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK. Carlton is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home; one daughter, Jan Janacek and her husband, Tim, of Rogers, AR; one son, Carlton H. Weaver, III of Laredo, TX; one step-daughter, Vicki Renee Knecht and her husband, Harvey, of Coweta, OK; two step-sons, Gerald Keith Colquitt and his wife, Barbara, of Shawnee, OK and Randall Lee Colquitt and his wife, Vicki, of Whitehorn Cove, OK; 14 grandchildren, Robert Jason Janacek, Andrea Jeanette Janacek, Jonathan James Janacek, Jared Josef Janacek, Alyson Joy Haynes, Angelia Shea Weaver-Walls, Craig Alen Colquitt, Zachary Rogers, Jeremiah Keith Colquitt, Kristen Lynn Colquitt, Daniel Lee Colquitt, Cody Lee Colquitt, Rachel Nicole Meadows, and Seth Alexander Smith; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He will also be missed by many admirers and loved ones. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, September 1, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. Family and friends may send condolences to Carlton's family online @ www.wrightfh.net.
