Carlotta Gregory

Carlotta LaVaun Gregory, age 64, of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 5, 2012 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK. She was born on October 14, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to her parents, John Carl and Artie Louise (Townsend) Gregory. Carlotta was a 1966 graduate of Webster High School in Tulsa, OK. She worked in sales for Johnson Tile for 20 years. Carlotta and Bert Lawson Jr. were married in November of 1965 in Tulsa, OK. She and Carl Bussey were married on September 18, 1989 in Sapulpa, OK and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2005. Carlotta enjoyed woodworking, arts and crafts, she loved being at the lake, and she also loved being a nanny. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and friends. Carlotta is lovingly survived by her mother, Artie Louise Gregory of Coweta; three children, Carl Lawson and his wife, Michelle, of Coweta, Lisa Rogers and her husband, Allen, of Tulsa, and Bert Lawson III and his wife, Leighanne, of Tulsa; her brother, Mike Gregory and his wife, Frankie, of Coweta; ten grandchildren, Loren Lee Ann, Ashley Dawn, Amber Nicole, Taylor Lee Ann, Madison LaVaun, Natalie Elizabeth, Conner Ray, Taylor Lynn, Macy Marie, and Brady Francis; two nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. Carlotta was preceded in death by her father, John Carl Gregory, her husband, Carl Bussey and one daughter, Lee Ann Renea. Funeral services for Carlotta will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bill Clinton officiating.
