Carl Richard Main

Carl Richard Main, age 83, resident of Porter, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 4, 2022 at Colonial Oaks Memory Care in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. Carl was born on February 10, 1938 in Sulphur, Oklahoma and was the son of Albert and Louise (Wilson) Main. Carl attended Sapulpa Schools where he was a 1956 graduate of Sapulpa High School. Carl was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Carl married the love of his life, Deloris June Eash on May 17, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a tool maker for Rockwell International for 30 years until he retired, and he was also a cattle farmer. Carl was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the Wagoner County Cattleman’s Association. In 1972, Carl remodeled the VA Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His love for God was evident in how he loved and cared for his family and those around him.

Carl is survived by his two daughters, Carla Peck and her husband Merle of Coweta, Oklahoma and Mary Denton and her husband Steve of Coweta, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Justin Peck and his wife Beth, April Bow and her husband Jason, Megan Holmes and her husband Heath, Shala Denton, Stephanie Denton, Jennifer McCully and her husband David, and Angela Denton; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Wilma King; two brothers, Warren Main and his wife Marie and Willis Main; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris June Main; his parents, Albert and Louise Main; two sisters, Alberta and Carol; and one brother, Sonny.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Carl’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at CrossPoint Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Brett Wheeler officiating. Carl will be laid to rest at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
