Canzada Harris

Canzada Vearl Harris, age 84, of Coweta passed from this life on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on January 7, 1924 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Menford W. and Ona Jane (Lantz) Tydings. Canzada attended school at Coweta and graduated from Coweta High School. She then attended Draughn Business College. In June 1945, she and Jessie W. Harris were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Canzada was a foster grandparent for Coweta Public Schools. Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Canzada was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Harris; one son; two brothers; and one sister. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Litzell and her husband, Glen, of Adair, Oklahoma, Jesslyn Tannehill of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Mary Harris of Enid, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Vernon Cemetery with Rev. David Jones officiating.
