Brett Allen Mattingly, 59, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away just after midnight on November 28, 2021. A memorial service is being held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Brett was born on June 9, 1962 to Harold and Virginia Mattingly in Norman, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Sparks) Mattingly of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Aaron Mattingly and wife Michelle of Parker, Colorado and Eric Mattingly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Tyler Holt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Trever Holt and wife Kayla of Clarksville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Macy and Logan Mattingly, Hazelynn Holt; his father, Harold Mattingly and wife Joy of Eldorado Springs, Missouri; his sister, Lindy and husband Gary Sherman of Wheatland, Missouri; two step-sisters, Gay Lynn Burns and husband Derrick of Grinnell, Kansas and Kyla Entrikin and husband Chris of Eldorado Springs, Missouri; and many, many more friends and family. Brett is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Mattingly and his granddaughter, Anniston Holt.
Brett enjoyed a variety of activities, particularly camping and fishing, watching OU football and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Brett will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, love for family and his passion to help others.
Kim Vass, Greg Choate, Lauri Choate, and Brian Choate will serve as honorary pall bearers.
