Brenda Ann Carter

Brenda Ann Carter, age 60, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Brenda was born on August 18, 1961 in Hartford, Connecticut to Milton Robert and Hanne S. (Nielsen) Lange.  She was a 1971 graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Brenda married the love of her life, Gary Wayne Carter, Sr. on March 29, 2001 in Miami, Oklahoma.  She worked at the City of Tulsa as an IT Technician for the past 11 years.  Brenda was a very active volunteer with the Community Special Athletes Organization for many years.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed bowfishing and 3D archery shooting.  Brenda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Gary Wayne Carter, Sr. of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; her children, G.W. Carter and wife Candace of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Christina Gould and husband Jason of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and DeAnna DeSousa and husband Henrique of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sister, Cynthia Barrett of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Zeek, Jayci, Ryan, Sarah, Brice, Jaxon, Andrew, Bella, Gabby, Henry, and Jesper; her niece, Allison Barrett; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Robert and Hanne S. Lange, her son, Robert Marshall Carter, and her brother, Bobby Lange.

A memorial service celebrating Brenda’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Tim Dreier officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are G.W. Carter, Jason Gould, Henrique DeSousa, Zeek Lantroop, Brice Carter, and Roger Hayes.
