Bobbie Jo (Claxton) Trower, 82 year old Coweta resident, went to meet her heavenly family on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital South surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 24, 1932 in the Choska Bottoms near Coweta, to Herbert and Ruby Lee Claxton. She was a 1949 graduate of Coweta High School. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 64 years, William "Bill" Trower; sisters, Jimmie Earlene Jamison of Coweta and Billie June Heeley of Oceanside, Oregon; children, Judy Walker (Dave) of New Orleans, Robert Wright Trower (Johnnie Ellen) of Perryville, Arkansas, and Jill Elliott (Robert) of Coweta. She also leaves to mourn her absence grandchildren, Rebecca Follmar and Scott Trower of Houston, Alex and Austin Elliott of Coweta, Alyson Costner of Jackson, Mississippi, Mack Walker of New Orleans, Jodi Lee of Little Rock and Jessie West of Oklahoma City, as well as six beloved great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends far and wide will celebrate her life. Bobbie retired from the US Postal Service and was renowned for the excellence of her cooking, collecting and bargain hunting. A third generation quilter, she enjoyed the craft with other family members and passed it on to two more generations. Viewing will be from 9 AM-8 PM on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 PM-8 PM. Services celebrating the life of Bobbie will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating. Pallbearers are Austin Elliott, Scott Trower, Alex Elliott, Mack Walker, Matthew Costner and Cody Follmar. Donations in her memory may be made to the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy Youth Camp fund.
