Billy Wayne Strength

Billy Wayne Strength, age 72, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Tulsa, OK, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born on January 9, 1952, in Oceanside, CA to Billy Donald and Anne Ruth (Alexander) Strength. Billy's journey through life was marked by love, service, and a joyous spirit that touched everyone he met.

Billy's life was one of dedication and honor, as evidenced by his proud service in the United States Navy. He enlisted on April 6, 1971, and after serving his country with distinction, he was honorably discharged on December 7, 1976. His commitment to excellence continued in his civilian life, where he worked at Aaon Heat & Air as a Warranty Manager until his retirement in 2013. His work ethic and leadership were an inspiration to his colleagues and those who knew him.

Billy's interests were as diverse as his skills, with a passion for remote control race cars and airplanes, golfing, and scuba diving.

The love story between Billy and his wife, Toni Christine Strength, began on May 14, 1976, in Tallassee, Alabama. Their marriage was a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other, celebrating 48 years of shared dreams and cherished moments. Together, they built a family founded on love, respect, and laughter.

Billy's legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his wife, Toni Strength of Tulsa, OK; his children, Michelle Bilby (Greg) of Tulsa, OK, Leslie Patterson of Broken Arrow, OK, and Brandon Strength of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Caylin Hilton (Allen), Cheyenne Bilby, Kaleb Patterson, Jacobe Patterson, Arieanna Patterson, Presley Strength, and Gracyn Strength; and his great-grandchildren, Shaylee Hilton, Serenity Hilton, Aiden Hilton, Callie Hilton, and AJ Hilton. He also leaves behind his sister, Ann Childers (Mitchell) of Alabama; a niece and nephew; his step-father, Bill Strickland; and his loyal dog, Queen.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Donald Strength and Anne Ruth Strickland; his sister, Melissa Strength; his grandson, Cameron Bilby; and his great-granddaughter, Delilah Bilby.

Billy's departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service to celebrate Billy's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Belview Baptist Church, 1040 N. Yale Ave., Tulsa, OK 74115. Pastor Tom Branch will officiate the service.
