Billy Shepherd

Billy Joe Shepherd, age 60, of Coweta departed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2010 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1950 to J. L. and Lucille (Lowery) Shepherd. Billy was a loving father, brother, and grandfather to his family. He attended school and graduated high school in Paola, OK. Billy worked as a self-employed miner. His hobbies included fishing, camping, riding his bike, and going to Alaska. Billy will be greatly missed by his family. Billy is lovingly survived by two daughters, Samantha Jo Shepherd and Jennifer Renee Shepherd of Miami, OK; one brother, Jerry Lee Shepherd of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Deborah Diana Forbes of Broken Arrow, OK and Mary Gist of Porter, OK; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel.
