Billy Roy Sanders

February 21, 2012 Billy Roy Sanders went to sleep in the Lord on February 18, 2012 in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on September 28, 1948 in Tahlequah, OK to Jack and Mary Chance. Billy's life always included work. He graduated from Broken Arrow schools where he worked in the cafeteria. Billy was very industrious with stamp collecting, baseball cards, sports updates and helping others. His artistic ability was outstanding. The most important person in Billy's life was Jesus Christ. Besides local churches, Billy used Three Angels Broadcasting Network Channel 9393 Dish for Sabbath Church and throughout the week. He survived by his partner for over 20 years, Shirley Tucker; one sister, Shirley Wilson; one brother, Terry Chance; and two beloved cats, Bright Eyes and Gracie. Billy's training and experience included an apartment porter, swimming pool certification, bridge building, working at Old Time Pottery, landscaping and anything at a plant nursery. He was very successful despite never wanting to go to college. Billy was a courteous, sweet, loving person with "great stamina" blue eyes. He followed the heath message of the Bible, but purchased two foods that made him very sick. Visitation will be held from 10AM to 2PM on Thursday, February 20, 2012, with a 2PM Funeral Service following at the Kennedy-Kennard Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. A dinner will be served after the interment. Billy will be sorely missed by all. Services entrusted to Kennedy-Kennard Funeral and Cremation in Broken Arrow.
