Billy D. Mcmillin

Billy D. McMillin, age 89, resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, December 9, 2020 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.  Bill was born on May 16, 1931 in Arcadia, Kansas and was the son of Clarence Powell and Alta Celeste (Davis) McMillin.

Bill attended school in Arcadia, Kansas and graduated from Arcadia High School.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War.  Bill enlisted in the Navy on March 21, 1951 and was honorably discharged on March 15, 1955.  He married the love of his life, Jacqueline R. Helm on September 2, 1956 in Pittsburg, Kansas.  Bill worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as an Assistant Milk Market Administrator for many years until he retired in 1986.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #187 in Pittsburg, Kansas.  Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, metal detecting, working on cars, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, watching westerns, and working on house projects.  He was loyal and always ready to lend a helping hand if he was able.  He was highly intelligent, knowledgeable, talented in many areas, and very fascinated by all things computer related.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jacqueline McMillin of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; one son, Mark McMillin and wife Viki of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jill White and husband Brent of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Joshua White and wife Lara, Jordan White and wife Lauren, Breana McIntosh and husband Jacob, Michael McMillin and wife Dara, Adam McMillin and wife Jessica, and Tory Locken and husband Donny; fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Boyd McMillin and wife Alpha; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alta McMillin; one son, Michael Dewayne McMillin; and one brother, Charlie McMillin

Viewing will be on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM and Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Services celebrating Bill’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Brent White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, DaySpring Villa, or a charity of your choice.
