Billie Bess Cole

Billie Bess Cole, age 78, of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. Billie was born on December 15, 1938 to Virgil and Madeline (Due) Combs in Muskogee, OK. She was a 1957 graduate of Haskell High School. After graduating, she attended Northeastern State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. In 1959, she and Billy Earl Cole were married in Muskogee, OK. Billie worked at Coweta Public Schools as an Elementary Teacher at Central Elementary in Coweta for 24 years until she retired. She was a member of Coweta Assembly of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, collecting and reading cookbooks, camping, going on vacations, shopping, working in the garden and she loved spending time with her family. Billie was preceded in death by her parents. Billie is survived by her husband, Bill Cole of the home in Coweta, OK; 2 daughters, Rhonda Cole of Coweta, OK and Kerri Sargent and husband, Mark of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Tom Combs and wife, Janet of Vinita, OK; 1 sister, Linda Woolman and husband, Gary of Vinita, OK; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Murray of Coweta, OK, Daren Murray of Haskell, OK, Jordan Peck of Coweta, OK and Cody Foster of Coweta, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Austin Murray, Kelcie Murray and Kaiden Peck; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating Billie's life will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve and Michele Lee officiating.
