Betty Ann Sellers

Betty Ann Sellers, age 81, longtime resident of Porter went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, June 6, 2018 at her home in Porter, OK surrounded by her family. Betty was born on December 12, 1936 to Robert Alvin and Lucille Fern (Dorr) Burk at home in Wagoner County. She worked at Continental Industries in Broken Arrow, OK as an Injection Mold Operator for 22 years until she retired in 1999. Betty was a member of the Coweta First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. Betty enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, especially with her flowers and spending time with her family. She had 2 dogs that she loved dearly, Sparky and Minnie Gail. Betty is survived by 2 sons, Charles Smith and wife, Sherrye of Porter, OK and Michael Smith and wife, Sheila of Porter, OK; 1 daughter, Barbara Parsons and husband, Roger of Porum, OK; 1 sister, Faye Raper of Coweta, OK; 7 grandchildren, Wayne, Jarrod, Melissa, Lyn, Jenny, Cody and Lindsey; 17 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Alvin and Lucille Fern Burk, 1 son, Phillip Gene "Bo" Smith, 2 brothers, Charlie Burk and Jesse Burk and wife, Ruth, 2 sisters, Dorothy Cope and Grace Sowers and husband, Willie and 2 grandchildren, Joe and Jesse Smith. Viewing will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 and on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. Services celebrating Betty's life will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Clarksville Free Will Baptist Church in Porter, OK with Pastor Charles Smith and Pastor Greg Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK. Pallbearers are Cody Parsons, Matt Robinson, Aaron Smith, Jarrod Smith, Josh Cole and Darin Burk.
