She was born on October 14, 1942, in Coweta, OK, to George Daniel Wilson and Lottie Jane (Eden) Wilson. Betty's life was marked by her unwavering faith and love for her family.

She was a 1963 graduate of Coweta High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for learning. On January 5, 1963, she married the love of her life, Alfred Paul Matlock, in Coweta, OK. Their union was blessed with four sons, and together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith.

She was also an active member of the New Home Free Will Baptist Church, where she found great joy in her faith and fellowship with her church family. Betty's faith was a guiding force in her life, and she often shared her wisdom and love for the Bible through her involvement in Bible study groups.

In addition to her faith and family, Betty had a passion for shopping and enjoyed the thrill of a good bargain. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did.

Betty is survived by her three sons, Darrell Matlock and wife Jessie, of Redding, CA, Paul Matlock and wife Kimberly, of Broken Arrow, OK, and Earl Matlock and wife Tabitha, of Chelsea, OK. She was the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Edna Reeves and husband Bill of Cleveland, OK, Opal Matthews of Oracle, AZ, Cecil Wilson and wife Gayle of Coweta, OK, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Paul Matlock, her son, George Matlock, her parents, George and Lottie Wilson, and her brothers, Virgil Stacy, and Leo Stacy.
