Betty Lou Collins

Betty Lou Collins, age 79, of Porter, OK passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 in Muskogee, OK. Betty was born on April 11, 1934 in Willow Springs, MO and was the daughter of Oscar Steven and Hattie Boyd (Collins) Murrell. She and James Collins were united in marriage on January 13, 1951 in Huntsville, AR and he later preceded her in death. Betty worked at Ross Martin Printing for 25 years until she retired in 1995. She was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church in Willow Springs, MO. Betty enjoyed sewing, gardening and working puzzles. Betty is survived by her sons, Michael Lynn Collins and wife, LeeAnn, of Porter, OK and James Raymond Collins and wife, Robyn, of Owasso, OK; her step-son, Terry Collins of Missouri; her brother, Larry Murrell of Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. A memorial service for Betty will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor Charles Smith officiating.
