Betty Fay Brooks

Betty Fay Brooks, age 78, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday evening, August 17, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Betty was born on December 26, 1942 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Arlie L. Coulson and Goldie Fay (Fidler) Pitts.  She attended school in Catoosa, Oklahoma.  Betty married the love of her life, Carl James Brooks on February 17, 1961.  She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family.  Betty was a lifelong member of Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and cooking for everyone.  Betty enjoyed going camping, fishing, and traveling.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl Brooks of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her son, Darrell Brooks and wife Susie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her daughter, Sonya Wolfe and husband Clifton of Spencerville, Oklahoma;  five grandchildren, Chad Brooks, Stephanie Reid and husband Michael, Holly Riddle and husband Andy, Derek Wolfe and wife Rachel, and Dustin Wolfe; two great grandchildren, Anderson Riddle and Rhett Brooks; her siblings, Terri Bobo, Christine Cade, Barbara Petrella, Charles Coulson, Laura Wells, Lynda Coulson, and Sharon Dias; and other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie L. Coulson and Goldie Fay Pitts; her son, Howard James Brooks; and her brother, Timmy Pitts.

Viewing will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Services celebrating Betty’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Sam Davis officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Pallbearers are Michael Reid, Derek Wolfe, Dustin Wolfe, Chad Brooks, Randy Jones, and Eddie Herndon.  Honorary Pallbearers are Keith Herndon and Calvin Keel.
