On July 14, 1931 a beautiful baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hines in Batesville, Mississippi, Panola County.  They chose to name her Bertha Lee Hines.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age in Bethlehem Baptist Church in Batesville, Mississippi.

Bertha completed her education in Batesville, Mississippi.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.  Bertha was a housewife and caregiver for most of her life.

Bertha loved her family and cherished her time with her daughter, Ruby.  She had an unconditional love for her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, fishing, cooking, and gardening.  She was a virtuous woman of God and loved to read her Bible.

Bertha went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Bertha leaves behind to mourn her passing, her grandson, Wendell Hines; her son-in-law, Alfred Curry, 8 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Bertha was preceded in death by her mother, her father, her daughter, Ruby Jean Curry, her two brothers, Charles Hines and OC Hines, her two sisters, Mary Hines and Velma Walls, her great granddaughter, Shayron Brown, and a great-great grandchild.
