Beatrice Elaine Rose, 80 passed away peacefully October 8, 2021 surround by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Timber Ridge Church in Catoosa, Oklahoma.
Bea, as she was known by, was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on March 13, 1941 to Lev and Thelma Stubbs. She met the love of her life, James D. Rose and married him May 25th, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma. Bea and Jim had been married for 44 years before his death in 2010. The couple raised two wonderful children.
After residing in Tulsa, the couple made their true home in Catoosa in 1977.
Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law. She is dearly loved by her son Gary Carter and wife Brenda Carter of Coweta, Oklahoma, daughter Billie Whiteley and her husband Gary Whiteley of Catoosa, Oklahoma, sister Vivian White and her husband Bob Teel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sister Lavetta Penrod and her husband Mike Penrod of Winslow, Arizona, and sister Jan Brittain-Trampp of Waldron, Arkansas, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bea lived a wonderful life full of joy and happiness. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, and 16 great grandkids with an additional one on the way.
Bea retired from Continental Industries as Production Controls Supervisor after 10 years, and then spent her time with her family and friends. Bea loved all animals especially her beloved Buffy Dog. Buffy was Bea's companion when her husband Jim passed away. Bea loved being outdoors. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting at her ponds watching the wildlife. Bea loved all types of birds. She worked with the Oklahoma Wildlife Department in raising ducks and geese for the State of Oklahoma and Swan Lake in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren have wonderful memories of playing at the pond with baby ducks.
Bea was strongly independent, sweet, kind, and stubborn. She loved her family with passion and grace. We will always remember her with love, her life from start to end, and we are Just glad we had her as long as we did.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Lev and Thelma Stubbs, husband James D. Rose, grandson Marshall Carter, brother Bo Stubbs, brother Len Surrell, and sister Rena Baum.
