Barry Michael Richardson

Barry Michael Richardson, a friendly and warm-hearted individual, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Coweta Care & Rehab Center in Coweta, Oklahoma, at the age of 63. He was born on January 31, 1961, in Childress, Texas. He was the only son of the late Kenneth Lane Richardson and Elizabeth Bell (Ward) Stiles.

A proud graduate of Bixby High School in 1979, Barry went on to further his education at Tulsa Community College. His professional life was marked by a dedicated career as a Tool Shop Manager for Port City Metal, from where he retired after years of committed service.

Barry will be fondly remembered for his love of life and the simple pleasures it offered. He had a passion for spending time at the lake, navigating the waters on his pontoon boat, and embracing the joy of a refreshing swim. Grand Lake held a special place in his heart, as did the enjoyment he found in savoring good food, listening to music, and the challenge of a game of Jeopardy.

He leaves behind his caring cousins, Barbara and Larry Linker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Linda Baker of Bixby, Oklahoma, Robert and Sandie Ward of Turkey, Texas, and Donny Gibson of Loveland, Colorado, and other relatives, and friends. A smiling and friendly face will be missed by the Coweta Care & Rehab Center staff and residents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Services for Barry will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Bixby Cemetery Chapel in Bixby, Oklahoma, officiated by Pastor David Dillon.
