Barada "Barbara" Lynn Orcutt

Barada Lynn Orcutt, affectionately known as Barbara, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023, in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 70. She was born on June 8, 1953, in Bakersfield, California, to John DeWayne Wolfe and Anita Charlene (Wilmoth) Wolfe. Barbara was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life.

Barbara was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She was the beloved wife of Moses Orcutt, and together they built a life filled with love. Barbara was also a loving mother to her sons, Charles Koehn and his wife Jan, and Levi Stubbs and his wife Rebecca. Her love extended to her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye.

Barbara was also a cherished sister to Shawn Butterworth and her husband Don, and a doting aunt to her niece Connie Robbins and her four great-nieces and nephews. She was also a beloved stepdaughter to Joe Winters. Her family was her world, and she was the heart of theirs.

Barbara had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in the beauty of nature, particularly flowers and gardening. Her garden was her sanctuary, where she cultivated not just roses, but also love and tranquility. Barbara had a special fondness for animals, and her compassionate nature extended to all creatures.

She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Barbara had a particular fondness for watching westerns, a pastime that brought her much joy and relaxation.

Barbara's passing leaves a void that can never be filled along with her parents who preceded her in death. However, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will be cherished, her life celebrated, and her legacy carried forward.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Services celebrating Barbara's life will be at 12:30 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating, and burial to follow.
