January 8, 2013 Avonell Leah "Nell" Hobbs passed from this life on January 3, 2013 in Catoosa, OK at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 11 days. She was born on March 23, 1929 in Skiatook, OK to Zachariah P. and Effie Grace (Marchbanks) Thompson. Nell loved dancing and listening to country music and watching her soap operas. She was very musical and played the accordion, piano and guitar. Nell loved to gather her family together and cook for holidays and other occasions. Her personality matched her fiery red hair. She was feisty and even a bit picky, especially about pie crusts! She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly. Nell was preceded in death by her husbands, R.J. Bradshaw and Floyd Hobbs; infant daughter, Sandra Kay Bradshaw; sons, Gary Bradshaw and Phil Bradshaw; brothers, Leon Thompson and Ronnie Thompson;
and sister Bonnie Jean Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Bradshaw of Catoosa; daughter, Tina Neal and husband Dan of Memphis, TN; daughter Linda Hobbs of Tulsa; son, Larry Hobbs and wife Melissa of Catoosa; grandchildren, Cary Boatman and husband Michael, Jaimie Hobbs, Ethan Connor, Evan Connor, Cher Hobbs, Clay Hobbs, Cody Hobbs, Angela Bradshaw, Brian Bradshaw, Jennifer Bradshaw, Phillip Bradshaw, Roy Bradshaw and Christine Bradshaw; great grandchildren, Kevan Record, Kirsten Record, Joe Boatman, Makayla Boatman, Madison Bradshaw, Tyler Bradshaw, Jonathan Reeder, Nicholas Reeder, Zane Reeder, Briana Hobbs, Liberty Hobbs and Zack Hobbs;
sisters, Joyce Bell of Tulsa, Patty Autry of Broken Arrow, and Orlene Hiller of Tulsa; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 118 on Monday, January 7, 2013 and a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, January 8, 2013, both at the Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home in Catoosa, OK with Interment to follow at Timber Ridge Cemetery. kennedycares.com
