Arvil Edward Kannada, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to meet his Lord from his home in Broken Arrow, OK on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1932, in McIntosh County, OK to Isom Hampton and Maggie Gerldine (Best) Kannada. Arvil lived a fulfilling life of 91 years, filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.

Arvil is survived by his daughters, Deborah Brunk and husband Ronald of Broken Arrow, OK, and Marsha Grammar and husband Richard Patrick of Edmond, OK; his son, Mark Kannada of Lawton, OK; five grandchildren, Rachel Russell and husband Matt, Brandy Christy and husband Kane, Kristina Whitson and husband Andrew, Jason Grammar, and Joe Grammar and fiancé, Kim; eight great-grandchildren, Dale Wood, Jr., Brittaney Dunning and husband Dakota, Marchall Russell, Blayze Christy, Azariah Christy, Kristianna Whitson, Isabella Whitson, and Jasper Whitson; two great-great-grandchildren, Adlyn Dunning and Rhett Dunning; his sisters, Rosie Lee Parker of Brownwood, Texas and Susie Kannada of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Arvil was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Bell Kannada, his parents, Isom Hampton and Maggie Gerldine Kannada; his son, Terry Kannada; his sisters, Hazel Allgood and Juanita Woodall; and his brothers, Kenneth Kannada and Eddie Kannada.

Arvil married the love of his life, Faye Belle Isley, on August 12, 1954, in Anadarko, OK. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, enlisting on January 23, 1953, and honorably discharged on January 21, 1955. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK.

Arvil was a dedicated worker, spending 28 years as a carpenter at Central Fixtures before retiring. His retirement years were spent farming in Prague, OK, and taking care of cows. He later moved to Coweta, OK, where he built his own house. Arvil also volunteered at Hopefully Yours in Edmond, OK, showcasing his love for helping others.

Visitation will be from 12:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. Services celebrating Arvil's life will be at 10:00 am on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK with Keno Shrum officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK.
