Arthur Toney

August 13, 2011 Arthur Toney of Broken Arrow, 89, passed away July 15, 2011 at his home under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice. He was born November 16, 1921 in Briartown to James Dow and Maude Nancy (Green) Toney. He married Ruth (Crittenden) March 4, 1946 and they were married for 57 years. He retired from the Department of Defense in 1974. Arthur enjoyed family, Gospel music and serving his fellow man. Arthur was preceded by his beloved wife Ruth; 9 brothers and sisters; and grandson David P.M. Toney, Jr. He is survived by his loving children: Twila Toney and son-in-law David Godfrey, David and Lajuana Toney, Wilson and Donna Toney; special friend Jennie Finley; grandchildren:
Christina L. Bates and her husband Basil, Bryan L. Toney and his wife Brandy; great-
grandchildren: Ashlynn Johnson, Marshal W. Bates, Wyatt L. Bates, Jackson B. Toney, Gera D. Bates, Jeffrey C.
