Arthur Haskett

Arthur L. Haskett, age 72, of Coweta, OK passed from this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. He was born on May 16, 1937 in Hickman Mills, MO to Earl A. and Lillie M. (Mallicoat) Haskett. Arthur graduated from high school in Hickman Mills, MO. He joined the United States Navy on August 1, 1956 and was honorably discharged on January 17, 1961. Arthur and Nancy Lou Haskett were married in 1960. He came to the Coweta area in 1997 from Tulsa. Arthur worked as a millwright in a nuclear power plant until his retirement in 2004. His hobby included fishing. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers. Arthur is survived by his companion, Thelma Sharp of Coweta, OK; one son, Pat Haskett of Odessa, TX; one daughter, Bonnie Hooper of Nashville, TN; four sisters, Beverly Borgastadt, Hester Keck, Evelyn Haskett, and Dorothy Christy all of Columbia, MO; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
