Arlene Ann Hamilton, age 68, resident of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully at her home in Broken Arrow, OK on Thursday morning, August 3, 2023. She was born on November 11, 1954, in San Francisco, CA to David and Eleanor (Beals) MacLean.
Arlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her four children, Michelle Miller and husband Brian of Broken Arrow, OK, David Hamilton of Signal Hill, CA, Chelsie Hamilton and partner Jaymes Lively of Tulsa, OK, and Richard Ryan and wife Vicky of Bixby, OK. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Kameron Miller, Mikayla Miller, Briar Miller, Emily Ryan, and Rachel Ryan. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Sanders and husband Tracey of Broken Arrow, OK; her brother, Charles MacLean of Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Lynn Hamilton; her parents, David and Eleanor MacLean; and her sister, Evelyn Smith.
Arlene's professional life was marked by her commitment and dedication. She worked at Sheridan Skyline East, Trade Winds Central Inn, Rodeway Inn & Suites, and Tulsa Stained Glass as an office manager. After a diverse career, she retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and those she served.
Arlene's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She enjoyed being outdoors, where she could often be found tending to her garden or watching birds. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand. Arlene also had a creative side, making beautiful stained-glass windows that reflected her love for art and beauty.
On June 1, 1985, in Tulsa, OK, Arlene married the love of her life, Jeffery Lynn Hamilton. Their marriage was a testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other, and they built a beautiful life together.
A graveside service celebrating Arlene's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, OK, with Chaplain Paul Nichols officiating.
