Anona J. Hallford-Reeves of Tulsa, age 94, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday morning, January 9, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. She was born on September 30, 1917 in Ft. Scott, KS to her parents, John and Pearl (Higgins) Judah. Anona was a 1935 graduate of Tulsa Central High School. In 1939, she and Bert Lee Hallford were married in Porum, OK and they were married 15 years until he preceded her in death on December 23, 1954. In 1961, she and Harold Reeves were married in Tulsa, OK and he later preceded her in death. Long time companion Charles (Charlie) F. Aldrich, also preceded her in death. Anona worked at McDonnell Douglas and Tulsa Public Schools as a computer operator for over 30 years until she retired in 1970. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Tulsa. Anona was also a very active member of the Red Hat Society and the Oklahoma Good Sams RV Club. She enjoyed seamstress work, camping, and traveling. Anona was an avid card player and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Anona is lovingly survived by her four sons, Bert Lee Hallford of Tulsa, Jerry Wayne Hallford of Atlanta, GA, Charles Reeves of Tulsa, and Douglas Reeves of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Anona was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, eight brothers and sisters, and 3 grandsons. Funeral services for Anona will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating.
