Anna M. Toler, age 90, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home. Anna was born on October 25, 1917 in Yoakum, Texas to James B. and Marguerite C. (Woolsey) Scott. She received her education and graduated from high school in the San Antonio, Texas school system. Anna and Richard Toler, Sr. were united in marriage on June 8, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas. She came to the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma area in 2006 from San Antonio, Texas. She was a former resident at the Cedar Ridge Retirement Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Anna was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. She was a Pearl Harbor survivor, a cadet sponsor in high school, and a life master bridge player and certified teacher. Survivors include one son, Richard Toler, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Phil Scott of Abilene, Texas; two grandchildren, Patrick Toler and his wife, Farah, of Coweta, Oklahoma and Xan Holly Toler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.
