Anna Mae Stroup

Anna Mae Stroup, age 96, resident of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 8, 2025, at the Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, OK. She was born on November 8, 1928, in Locust Grove, OK to Arthur Lee and Daisy (Wright) Martin. Anna's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and resilience.

Anna's early years were spent in Owasso, OK, where she attended school and proudly graduated from Owasso High School in 1945. Her education laid a foundation for the wisdom and care she would bestow upon her family and all who knew her.

A devoted homemaker for the majority of her life, Anna dedicated herself to creating a loving and welcoming home. Her passion for nurturing extended to her house plants, which she tended with the same love and attention she gave to her family.

Throughout her life, Anna's heart was always with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Hollowell and husband Gary of Hollister, MO, and Joey Jones and husband Ed of Bixby, OK; her son, Kelly Skelton and wife Theresa of Owasso, OK; 10 grandchildren, Richelle, Sarah, Kallie, Madelyne, Katie, Stevie, Hannah, Tammy, Kimberly, and Jimmie; 16 great-grandchildren, Lillee Ann, Dakota, Saundra, Shea, Imber, Jayce, Jessica, Anna, Remington, Scott, Luke, Gwyn, Jack, Flint, Julian, and Luca; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Sorin, Eisley, and Anna.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur and Daisy Martin; her daughters, Linda Call and Penny Janko; her son, Jimmie Hahn; and her great-grandson, Atlas Cromer.

Her interests and activities kept her engaged with life in the various communities where she lived, including Hulbert, Muskogee, and Wagoner, OK. Anna's presence was a source of joy and comfort to those around her, and her influence will be felt for generations to come.

Anna lived a life rich in love, laughter, and devotion. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those she touched.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A graveside service to celebrate Anna's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
