On April 11, 2007, a beautiful baby girl was born to Akeia and Oscar Tyree Sampson and she was named Aniyah Danice Sampson.
She was born with beautiful violet eyes that turned gray and then hazel brown.
We were so excited to have our first-born daughter. Later on in life, Aniyah would face some health challenges that she fought long and hard against with courage and strength to overcome.
Aniyah attended Putnam West High School in Bethany, Oklahoma. She enjoyed bowling with her Special Olympics team and boxing food for Feed the Children.
During her earlier school years, one of her proudest moments was when she received an award for the principles honor for the 2017-2018 year at Mustang Public Schools.
Aniyah wanted to be a chef, clothes designer, and a model.
She would often sit and dream of graduating high school, being independent, having her own family one day, and her dreams were always encouraged.
Some of her hobbies were swimming, fishing, and shopping. She liked to play the ukulele and her favorite colors are black, purple, and blue.
Aniyah accepted Christ at an early age and took comfort in the word of God.
She was very loving, sweet, and kind. She will truly be missed.
Those that preceded her in death were her father, Oscar Tyree Jerome Sampson; sister, Tia Nichole Sampson; grandparent, Wilbert Roberson Sr; cousin, Kingstone Adeshina; great grandparents, Wilma and Daniel Toliver, Mary Marie Mayfield, Elmo Gilker, and Nathaniel and Agnus Sampson; and aunt, Melissa Bekederemo.
She leaves to cherish her memory is her mother and stepfather, Akeia and Demetric Carruthers; her siblings, Daniel Gene Mayfield, Nathaniel Tyree Mayfield, Ameia Sampson, and Janell Carruthers; her grandparents, Pamela Robersan, Elmer Gene Mayfield, and Margret Brannon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
