It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amy Ruth Jones, age 40, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Amy has gone to be with our Lord and Savior, leaving this world Monday morning, March 18, 2024.
Amy was born on April 10,1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Paula Ruth (Carroll) Hamby and Roy Eugene Hamby. Amy grew up in Tahlequah, OK, graduated from Tahlequah High School and went on to attend Northeastern State University. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, shopping, listening to R&B, movie marathons with her girls and spending time with her family and friends.
Amy married Chauncey Jones on September 16, 2013. Together they shared two daughters, Kayla and Kinlee, who were the absolute loves of her life.
At the time of her death, Amy was employed as the Business Development Center manager at Bill Knight Ford where she excelled in her career and created lasting friendships with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Eugene Hamby, of Berryhill Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband, Chauncey Leon Jones of Ft. Worth Texas; her children, Kayla Love Jones, and Kinlee Grace Jones, of Tulsa Oklahoma; her mother, Paula Hamby; her sisters, Kimberly Hunt, Kerry Crittenden, Kacy Ellsworth, and Aubree Hamby; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Amy will be forever remembered as a loving, devoted mother, a kind and compassionate friend, a woman full of faith and for her ability to make everyone around her feel important, valued, and cherished.
Visitation will be from 12:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Amy’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
