January 8, 2013 Amos Earnest Pearson passed from this life on January 6, 2013 in Broken Arrow, OK at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 12 days. He was born on February 25, 1918 in Broken Arrow, OK to John Otis and Bessie (Welch) Pearson. Amos grew up in Broken Arrow and worked as a farmer and as a machinist. On October 16, 1937, he married Goldie Mae Douglas in Wagoner, OK. They were married for 65 years until her passing on August 11, 2003. Amos loved to watch baseball games and work in his garden. He believed in getting up very early and working hard. Amos also had an ornery side to him and was quite popular with the ladies at his assisted living facility. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly. Amos was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Bessie Pearson; stepmother, Mary Pearson; loving wife, Goldie Pearson; siblings, Floyd Pearson, Earl Pearson, Clyde Pearson, Ralph Pearson, Dennis Pearson, Marie Timmons and Lucille James. He is survived by his daughter, Myrna Hash; son Jim Pearson and wife Martha; grandchildren, Rodney Pearson and wife Bobbie, Rick Hash and wife Lisa, Bill Hash and wife Tonya; great grandchildren, Kyle Hash (who shared a birthday with Amos,) Taylor Hash, Kacie O'Dell, Trevor Hash, Katelynn Duncan, McKenzie Pearson and Odessa Pearson; siblings, Josephine Hunt, Charlie Pearson, Macel Bible, John Pearson, Kenneth Pearson and Twilla Pitcock; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK and a Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Thomas Community Church with Interment following at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. www.kennedycares.com
